Well, what a very busy time I have been having lately! Just after Christmas this year, my husband and I decided that we were actually going to move to Lytham St Annes. We have wanted to move here for many years now and decided to just grab the bull by the horns and go for it! Thinking our house would take a good few months to sell and we would have plenty of time to find a new home, we put it on the market in early January. What we weren’t expecting was for our house to sell within 11 days!!
You can imagine the mad panic we had, haha. We needed to pack up our home and find somewhere to live in a very short space of time. Luckily we found a beautiful apartment to rent and then got on with the packing. So on 9th February we moved in and finally lived in the place we had always wanted to live. And it certainly hasn’t disappointed up to now.
Our intention was to rent for six months and look around for a bungalow to buy, but we liked the apartment so much, we decided to buy one just across the way! After our offer was accepted, we put the wheels in motion to buy it. It took a few months to get everything sorted but by the beginning of July we had moved into our very own apartment! It is absolutely beautiful and an added bonus, it has sea views from the kitchen and bedroom windows!
I am ashamed to admit that because I have moved twice in five months, have made lots of new friends and have been enjoying walking along the sea front all the time, I haven’t really done much crocheting recently! I’m sure when I get used to living in a beautiful place and the winter months start, I will have time to crochet more.
I have started a lovely blanket which is a variation on the chevron stitch. I will knuckle down and get it made and then I will show you what I have actually managed to make! Haha.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at the photos of my new home town? I promise not to leave it too long until my next post. 😉
Until next time, happy crocheting!
