Well , I am finally back! I have been having some trouble with my blog lately. For some reason, people have been trying to hack into it but it’s all sorted now! So let’s crack on and show you the crochet baby winter hats I have recently been making.
These ‘squiggle’ hats are what I am currently working on at the moment. I think they look so cute and they are really fun to make! The pattern is designed by Danyel Pink and is available free on Ravelry. The link for it is at the bottom of the page. The yarn recommended for these hats is Aran weight, which is the best weight to use but I have made some in newborn baby size using double knit which worked out ok.
The hats can be made in all sizes right up to adult size. I made a rainbow coloured one in a baby size and my customer liked it so much, she jokingly asked if I could make a matching one for her, so I did! She sent me this photo of her and her baby wearing the matching hats, how cute do they look?
These unique hats can be made in variegated yarn, which is what the rainbow hat is made in. Two different colours in a stripy design, like in the blue ones. Or the main hat can be in one colour and the ‘squiggles’ and trim in a different colour, like the cream and pink hat. These are just a few I have made so far, to give you an idea of colours and styles. I’m sure you will agree, they all look good!
Hope you have as much fun making these hats as I have! I would love to see any you have made and any different colours you come up with.
Hopefully I will be back very soon! Keep safe everyone.
