I have been really busy lately selling lots of headband and shoes sets on Etsy. So I have decided, with Autumn and Winter coming, to crochet baby booties and hat sets. I have found that baby items sell better in sets, I suppose, with the popularity of baby showers, they make better gifts to give.
I found the pattern for these cute booties on Ravelry. They are designed by Croby Patterns, I will add the link to the free pattern at the bottom of the page. I have made a few of these sets now in different colours, some in girly colours and some in boy colours, as the design is suitable for both. I have had fun mixing and matching colours to make them in and buying different coloured buttons to put on them.
I particularly love these wooden buttons that my lovely sister gave me, they have ‘Handmade With Love’ written on them. They look so cute on the booties and the hats, and as an added bonus, they are in a neutral colour so they go with all the colours!
I found a great baby hat pattern by ‘Dabbles and Babbles’, which I thought would make a good match for the booties, I will also add the link for this at the bottom of the page. The hat is so easy to make and I just add a button on the side to match the booties. In the pattern it just has two stripes of a contrasting colour, but I add the contrasting colour on the last row as I find this matches the booties better.
I bought some lovely shiny dark grey buttons to go with this set. I have also got the same ones in navy blue, so that will be the next colour I will do. I’m thinking navy and grey for a boy set and navy and pink for the girls set, so watch this space!
Hope you all like my latest makes of baby booties and hat sets and maybe have a go at them yourself? I’m off now to get on with the navy blue ones, I will show you how they turn out.
